THE
“50 states of sustainability” DOCUSERIES
Companies and organizations are increasingly leading the way to a United States economy driven by renewable energy and sustainability.
Government can set the policy agenda, but for real change to occur the private sector must be incentivized and fully engaged. Companies and organizations are in a unique position to innovate and have a significant impact in a shorter time. An educated and motivated workforce is a critical part of affecting change from within every industry.
In this series of short documentaries, CEOs and upper management at a variety of companies, non-profits, and government agencies present their vision for a more sustainable future. We will also focus to the young leaders that are making that vision of the future a reality. Collectively, they present the challenges that lie ahead, and how they are endeavoring to solve big problems and make a difference through their work.
Sustainable Future
Our primary focus is companies and organizations that are thriving as they make the transition to more sustainable practices, but we also shine a light on smaller startups and non-profits that show a great deal of promise in trying to solve some of the most difficult challenges we face.
Format
Since young people live in a world of bite-sized media experiences, expecting them to sit through a feature documentary may not be the best way to present the information. We felt that a series of short documentaries presented in a 1/2 hour format would be a better way to reach them and simultaneously enable them to more freely share these stories. In addition, many of the stories emphasize the work of young leaders who may be their peers or not much older than themselves. We hope the takeaway is that there is a national move underway in every state toward a sustainable future...and that young people can and are making significant contributions to the realization of that future. Hope = Action = Impact!
